CASE 9
FNAC:, Moderately cellular aspirates with a cystic background and debris. Many cellular clusters of overlapping cells, solid with pleomorphic nuclei. Presence of a patchwork of benign and malignant cells. The aspirates were classified in category C5.
Triple assessment:
- Clinic: small palpable mass.
- Mammography: suspicious calcifications.
- Ultrasound: suspicious.
- FNAC: adequate, representative, malignant cells C5
Ccl: Excisional biopsy with option for breast conserving surgery. Frozen section to assess potential invasion if possible.
Histology report: Cystadenopapilloma totally removed (ductal adenoma). No evidence of malignant lesion. Nice example of false-positive FNAC.
