CASE 4
Clinical history: Six months ago, this sixty-three-year old patient had been treated with antibiotics for an acute mastitis with skin congestion of the right breast. At that time, imaging demonstrated a non-suspicious, non-collected diffuse density of the right breast. FNAC was acellular, oily and hemorragic and was categorised C1. Inflammation regressed during treatment but some induration remains in the lower outer quadrant of the right breast.
Breast imaging: Mammography and ultrasound confirm the regression of the process and the persistance of a non-suspicious diffuse density in the lower-outer quadrant. The gynecologist decided to perform a NCB in the dense area.
Demonstrated slides: Original FNAC and three views from the NCB.
