Clinical history: The screening mammograms of this forty-six-year old woman were normal in 1998. In May 1999, a diffuse hardening of the upper-outer quadrant of the same breast was reported by the patient.

Breast imaging: Mammograms showed a comparable aspect to those of 1998. Ultrasound only demonstrated a non-significant 1 cm large area of absorption. NCB and FNAC were guided by palpation and ultrasound.
