CASE 6
FNAC: The smears showed many malignant epithelial cells with moderately pleomorphic nuclei and large cytoplasms. The FNAC was reported in category C5.
Needle core biopsy report: The cores demonstrated an invasive ductal carcinoma which seems well differentiated. The NCB was reported in category B5.
Triple assessment:
- Clinic: palpation suspicious.
- Mammography: suspicious.
- Ultrasound: very suspicious.
- NCB: representative, adequate, malignant invasive carcinoma, B5
- FNAC : representative, adequate, malignant C5.
Ccl: Breast conserving surgery is proposed to the patient with axillary dissection.
Surgery and histology report: Presence of 1.1 cm invasive ductal carcinoma totally removed with tumor-free margins. Absence of lymph node metastasis.
